It is derived from the breeding program Provedo conducted in Don Benito (Badajoz - Spain).

It has a very sweet and aromatic flavor. The flesh is crisp and juicy.

The tree is strong and grows open. It takes form very easily and complies perfectly with all kind of pruning systems.

The fruit reaches to huge sizes depending on its ripening period. It is round shaped and bright red maroon in color. The skin is smooth and thin. The flesh is firm, crisp and juicy. It is highly resistant to oxidation, durable to transport and has high storage qualities. The fruits can hang on the branches for a long period of time. They ripen slowly and can be picked with a few harvests. This is a very productive variety.

Medium-late blossom time. It is very resistant to late spring frost with its bell-shaped flowers.
